Silk needs WebGPU
Silk draws with WebGPU, the web's new way to use a device's graphics, and this browser doesn't offer it
yet.
On an iPhone or iPad, update to iOS 26 or iPadOS 26 (Settings, General,
Software Update), then open Silk in Safari.
On a Mac, update to Safari 26 (System Settings, General, Software Update),
or use a recent Chrome or Edge.
On Windows, update Chrome, Edge or Firefox. If Silk still can't start,
updating the graphics driver may help.
On Android, update Chrome from the Play Store. Some phones' graphics
can't run Silk yet.
On a Chromebook, update ChromeOS (Settings, About ChromeOS). Some
older Chromebooks' graphics can't run Silk yet.
On Linux, Chrome has WebGPU behind a switch: open
chrome://flags/#enable-unsafe-webgpu, turn it on, and relaunch Chrome.
Silk runs in a recent Chrome or Edge, in Safari 26 and later, and in
Firefox on Windows and on Apple silicon Macs.
